Rustic Gatsby
As far as projects go, The Rustic Gatsby was pure joy. Its redesign occurred at a turning point in the client’s life – which is why we were so determined to ensure the result was exactly what she wanted. Since completion, we have remained in close contact with her and frequently hear how the home continues to enrich this new chapter in her life.
The inspiration for the project was our client’s love of Lindy hop and the 1920s era. But while her evenings out dancing can be wild and fast, for her house we created a more relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere. The design mixes the rustic original wooden ceiling beams and brickwork with detailing that add some of the 1920s glamour.
